Art by Linda Jackman
Dabbling in all things art ... and mostly making it up as I go along.
Art plays a continually evolving role in my life. Perhaps one day I will settle into a preferred genre and/or style, perhaps not .... for now I am all over the place. I enjoy experimenting with various media such as oil paint, acrylics, ink, and colored pencils; and working with a variety of subject matter including landscapes, portraits and abstract designs.
I also sew and do various needlearts (crochet, quilt, embroider, weave, etc.), typically without patterns. If I manage to create enough items that qualify as "fiber art" I'll add a section for them in my portfolio pages. We'll see how that goes. In the mean time, I occasionally vend at art/craft events, and have a few things in an etsy shop - Sewl Art Studio.
Over the past few years I've been teaching acrylic painting, portrait drawing, doodle art, and mandala art. I am not a trained art teacher but love to share my joy of creating with others, along with tips and techniques I've learned along the way. Please see the Classes page for more information.
The images on the Portfolio pages are a sampling of the type of work I've done over the past few years. if it's not in the "sold" section, it's available for sale. If no price is listed, please ask!
