Saying Goodbye with Art

I am retiring from my job as Planning Director for the City of Lapeer MI at the end of the month.  There are a few people who I have worked very closely with over the years, whose assistance and collaboration and friendship I am very grateful for.  So I decided to give some partings gifts of my art to three very special people.  Their choice.  Here is what they've chosen:

Kim Hodge:  Kim and I have worked together my entire 16 years here.  As Administrative Assistant to the Planning Department, DPW and DDA, Kim keeps us all on track, on schedule and within budget.  More importantly, she is a true friend who has been there for me in personal situations in ways no one else could.

Pam Reid:  Pam is the Public works Director, who I've had the privilege of collaborating with on many projects over the years.  Her dynamic personality, strong work ethic and overall zest for life have made a lasting impression on me.  She is a great person and a wonderful friend.

Brent Bajdek:  Brent has been my assistant as the Planning Administrator (the job I previously held) for the past eight years.  His analytical abilities and strong attention to detail have helped our partnership function like a well-oiled machine.  I wish him the best of luck as he moves on in his career at his new position with the City of St. Joseph.
On my last day, Friday October 30th, I'm having a little farewell celebration at Tilted Axis Brewing Co.  It's a newer place in town with a wonderfully renovated second floor that I think will provide the perfect ambiance for a fun get-together.  In addition to snacks and beverages and socializing, I have an idea for an art swap ... because, why not?
